IF WE DON’T TELL WE JUST FORGET IT, is an invitation to attentively listen to the traditional stories from the Amazon forest people.

 

It is the opening of a path that goes through the past, present and the dreams and aspirations of RESEX Lago do Cuniã (Rondônia state) residents. The result of this project is a book that reaffirms the power of the encounter between memory, voice and attentive listening.

Registering these encounters contributes to the strengthening and recognition of their identity, which is under constant threats. Documenting is also a way to preserve all their knowledge and wisdom. We wish the book becomes one of the important initiatives that support traditional people (indigenous, riverines, quilombolas and nomadic people) of our country, their memories and traditions.
